Vacation in the Ardennes

We just got back from a 4-night vacation in the Ardennes, no phone, no computer, no Victaulic:)  We rented a cottage in Hampteau right between Durbuy and La Roche with a yard for the kids, a bbq for us, and trails into the forest right out our front door.  We experienced one of the fiercest most frightening storms I've ever seen (even Steve was a little spooked) but we all survived.  We had a very relaxing time mixed with many adventures for the kids.

Picking blackberries by our cottage...

Wild animal park near La Roche with native animals in their natural habitat..

I forgot to take a picture, but this plaque is on what is left of a tank.  La Roche was devasted during the battle of the bulge.
